The best WordPress themes don’t only give you a really nice layout for the regular pages and posts, they also have great styling of content within posts and pages.

We do this for all our themes, but we wanted to take it to the next level and go beyond styling just the common page elements. We wanted to add additional functionality and styling for posts and pages which the WordPress editor doesn’t give you out of the box.

To do this we have developed a plugin, which we are now giving away free.

Features of the WP Themes Shortcodes Plugin

Once installed the WP Themes Shortcodes plugin will appear in the regular WordPress editor adding a range of new styling options to all pages and posts.

Buttons

Columns

You can insert content 2, 3 or 4 columns into a regular page or post. Here’s an example of two columns with 1/3 and 2/3 spacing…

Insert tabbed content as a way to present more information in a simple and elegant way without taking up too much screen realestate, like this…

Toggle Content

Add a simple toggle to display more information on the click of a button. With a toggle shortcode you can do it just like this…

You can even decide whether the toggle is open or closed by default.

Divider

And sometimes you just want to add a simple divider to make a distinction between two pieces of content, like this…
