  1. First, I want to thank you for the amazing theme: Looper that we are using on our website.

I just have a question about the publish date on posts and I’m not sure where to reach you. Hopefully you can help me.

The theme is currently only showing the update date instead of publish date. I want to back date some posts and it’s not showing. Do you know how to do this?

Hi, is there any way to show the widgets in all pages? I can only do that in home page and categories not in a page. By widget I mean the sidebard.

  3. Very nice theme! How can I add a search page? I cannot use the widget option and can’t find another clue, any help appreciated.

Just started using Looper today and I love it. I do have one question however. What is being called Categories, I’ve been calling Topics. Is there away to change Categories to Topics?
Also, I’m quite new to using WordPress and Looper, but is there a way to use Social Media icons rather than links?

    Thanks!

I’ve noticed in the demo version that there are pictures alongside the post titles in the homepage, how do i do that?

    Hi !
Thanks for your theme, fit perfectly for me : https://flat6-team-eracing.fr
    Just one suggestions :
Can you add a slider if we have more than one post sticky ?
    Thank’s !

    1. Hi Simon, glad you like the theme. That is not a bad idea. I’ve added it to the list, though I’m not sure when we’ll get a new version out the door.

  7. Hall says:

    The template looks very good.

I just wonder why it has two H1 headers in code?

This isn’t correct usage. One H1 heading is valid and any number of lower row headings is valid.

In addition, it isn’t possible to enter text into H1 because they are responsible for logo image at top and bottom of page.

    1. Hi Hall, yes strictly speaking you’re quite right. We might look at improving that in a future release. Practically though I don’t think it will make much difference to the theme…if you google any competitive keyword and look at the use of H tags across the top ranking pages you will find some that do it strictly correct and some that don’t. As a signal it has a very small impact.

  8. Hi KingsLayer, I don’t quite understand. Can you please send a screenshot of the main menu from the admin. I’m curious what categories and page you have nested in your menu.

  9. Sankalp Agarwal says:

Hi Charles, thanks a lot for the theme!

How do you add preview images to the Popular section on the sidebar?

  10. Marcus says:

Ok I have one last question…How do I get the post date and category to show under post image an header?…Its only showing post header an text snippet..thanks gain

  11. Marcus says:

Thanks for the reply…Im not referring to the ads..but the art design itself..The demo has a purple rectangular design for the header and footer for logo an menu…The download have different shapes…Is it possible to change the shape to look just like the demo?

  12. Marcus says:

Great theme..but can you tell me how I can replicate the rectangular header and footer boxes like the bestgaming.tips demo..I can’t seem to customize those graphics..thanks again

    1. Hi Marcus, I’m not sure what you mean. Do you mean the featured post on the home page? That is done by using the native WordPress sticky posts feature. Make a post sticky and it will be featured at the top of the page. If you are talking about rectangular ad blocks that isn’t the theme…bestgaming.tips is running Google Adsense with the auto ad unit feature.

  13. Jimmy says:

Hey Charles, it’s an incredibly nice theme. Do you know how to embed a leaderboard ad under the main sticky post, like it is on the demo site (bestgaming.tips)?

    Thanks!

    1. Thanks Jimmy, the demo site is actually running the auto-ads from Adsense so we didn’t specifically embed the ad there, we just added the code and Adsense automagically places ads where they think they’ll work best.

  14. Danijel Grgic says:

    Hi,
How is it possible to remove the 3 Lines, that are supposed to open the menu, in the mobile version of looper?
    Thank you

    1. Hi Danijel, try adding the following CSS to the Additional CSS section of the Customizer.
      .navbar-toggle {display: none}

  15. Mark says:

Sorry for the inconvenience, how can I add a post in the top center ???
    Thank you. 😉

    1. No problem Mark. TO feature a post front and center like the demo you just need to flag it as a “sticky post” in WordPress. This is a core WordPRess feature. Learn more here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PtNJx-m5_r8

  16. Mark says:

Very nice theme, congratulations. But how can I add widgets Thanks a lot.

    1. charles Charles Coxhead says:

Hi Mark, this theme doesn’t have a widget area on the posts page just on the default homepage/blog page and the archives. It is poorly labelled in the Widget admin as “Posts Widget Area”, which is an oversight. We’ll update that label.

Any widgets you add to that section though will appear on the home/blog page as well as blog archive pages (categories and date archives etc).

      1. Mark says:

Thanks for the reply Charles. 🙂

  17. Mario says:

Very very nice theme. But how can I add a hero post, the theme has not customizer option. Please update it. thank you very much.

    1. Hi Mario, try flagging one of your posts as “Sticky” using the regular WordPress sticky posts feature.

      1. Mario says:

Hi Charles, thank you for your reply. The theme is really wonderful. But I can not make it as your demo site, which has a hero post and footer widget.
I tried to flagging post as Sticky, it does not make it a hero post in homepage at all.
Could you please update the theme, is it because am I using basic theme instead of pro-version?
        Thank you.

        1. Hi Mario, this theme doesn’t have any footer widgets, but I did forget to clarify that you must create a new static page, assign it the “Home” template and then under Settings > Reading assign this page as the front page. It will then show your sticky post in the featured position top center.

          1. Mario says:

Thank you Charles, it works, its very beautiful theme, Ill use it now, Thank you for your kind reply.
