Big Pix is a pretty standard blogging theme, albeit with a real focus on large format images on the home page and archive pages. The post pages also use a full sized featured image, not unlike the style popularised by Medium. You can easily upload your own logo and favicon, or change the default colour scheme to anything you like. It is also has dedicated widget areas for pages, posts, archive pages and the home page so you have a great deal of flexibility over the content on these page types. And of course it is fully responsive.
Released under GPL2.0 license.
Theme support will be handled via the help desk. If you are setting up your first website you’ll find some good tips in our new tutorial on setting up a blog.
Charles,
when did you release the Big Pix Theme? And how many does it cost?
br J.
Hi Joachim, the good news is that Big Pix will be free to download from the WordPress theme directory. The bad news is I can’t say exactly when this will be. It is under review at the moment and I don’t think it will be too far away (couple of weeks), but the theme review process can take a while and relies on the (really great) efforts of volunteers so the time frames can be extended sometimes depending on the load.
Hello, I am currently using the bixpix theme. I was wondering if there was a way to hide the authors/posters name. I want to completely remove or hide the “Posted By”
Arvin, we havn’t released Big Pix yet so you must be using another theme?
