  1. Using PinBlue for years and upgraded to get rid of a persistent problem. A loading script runs behind postings displayed. Can’t figure out how to stop it from being visible. Can you tell me what may fix this?

    • Hi Allan, when you say you upgraded I gather you mean you upgraded WordPress, yes? Looking at the site I can’t replicate the problem in Chrome, FF or Safari on Mac. What browser/OS combo are you using?

      • Thank you for answering. Yes, we have upgraded both the WP and the PinBlue theme. We use Windows 7 with FF latest and see it also when using IE 11. Actually, I have not check it with Mac. I will get on checking Mac but the problem remains on anything Windows.

  2. I deleted the loading.gif file from the theme image library and now the constant running is not visible. Took some effort to catch it behind the pictures. Problem fixed, I suppose.

  3. I have upgraded to WP jetpack 3.4.1 and disappeared from the menu.. when I’m trying to install it again manually this message is displayed

    Destination folder already exists. /home/biathlonnews/

    any ideas?

    • Hi Sotiris, what ‘disappeared from the menu’? Do you mean the menu itself disappeared?

I don’t know what would cause that. If you want to try reinstalling Jetpack you will need to uninstall it completely first (not just deactivate it).

If you still have this problem I would try disabling the various Jetpack features you are using until you can isolate the feature that causes the problem.

  4. When I’m saying disappeared I mean not only the menu but all the features of jetpack.. I was trying to install it but then this message appears

    Downloading install package from…

    Unpacking the package…

    Installing the plugin…

    Destination folder already exists. /home/biathlonnews/

    Plugin install failed.

So probably jetpack is installed but not accessible ..
I have lost statistics, RSS feed doesn’t work and lost subscribers list
    Any ideas?

    • So, when you go to view your list of plugins, Jetpack is not listed? If that directory already exists then it suggests the plugin is still there, perhaps just de-activated?

If it isn’t there then my next suggestion would be to access the site via FTP and remove the …/jetpack/ directory before tryingt o reinstall again. If you can activate or reinstall the plugin I think you should find all the settings are still there.
